Sharing our own experiences is the most effective tool for coping. And hearing other people’s stories offers a direct route to what we need to know and consider with regard to our own personal situations.

How many of you have already asked yourselves –
* Am I in denial about aging with regard to either my parents or myself?
* How significant are the changes I’m seeing in myself and my parents? Should I be discussing these with someone?

I have been working with seniors and the aging population for several years now. It truly is a blessing to be able to learn and grow having relationships with those I encounter. This quick story is mine about why I got into the walk in bathtub industry and how it has changed my life and could yours as well. Several years ago a friend of mine kept encouraging me to call this company he was doing well for regarding a sales position with their company selling walk in tubs. After some reluctance I finally accepted. At first things were great, I was making good money to support my family, I was providing a product that was helping my customer. I felt very at home and enjoyed the industry, especially since I was able to meet so many fellow seniors. My bliss soon disappeared as I got to know the company better and the industry. Unfortunately it was a company that preyed on seniors and elders. The company I will not mention their name, very large, very known company that touts the highest quality. In reality I found out the tubs were middle of the road, the sales managers would encourage lying and trying to strong arm the customer into making a purchase, often times selling tubs for $15,000 -$25,000. just google walk in bathtub scam, it is a real problem! Depending on how well you negotiate decided the price many times. Being someone who has a big conscious. I could not continue to do this. So I set out to find another company in a like industry that had better practices. Well I tried a few more and found the same things. Even one of them has stuff about walk in bathtub scams all over their site, yet still misleads their customers, and encouraged sales staff to twist the truth to make look better.
Disgusted I decided to found Aging Safely Baths And More. To have honesty, integrity and fair prices be our foundation. This message is important because many of those reading this or out there are being taken advantage of. I simply want to help educate seniors on the options available to ensure everyone who needs something like this is not taken advantage of. So that is my story as to why I got into this industry, as we are truly trying to help our elders by being an honest supplier of walk in hydrotherapy bathtubs. http://www.agingsafelybaths.com
